We’ll cover product placement, search engine results, and quick answers, which can appear in Google search results in the following ways:
- Product snippets that include ratings, reviews, price, and availability information
- Visual representations of products
- Knowledge Panels with vendors and products
- Product images in Google Images search results
- Enhanced results (reviews, shipping information, etc.)

- The page must be indexed – Search engine robots may not index product pages due to poor content quality or the use of outdated SEO strategies, such as copying other people’s content.
- The page should have valid structured data – Google frequently updates its guidelines for structured data. While structured data plugins are usually updated accordingly, this isn’t always guaranteed. We recommend regularly checking your pages using the Google Rich Results Test tool. However, even correct structured data doesn’t guarantee that Google will show products in the quick results.
- Google must deem the page worthy of appearing in search results – Evaluate all website content, including images or products, in terms of how they will appear in search results. Does it look good as a thumbnail? Is the content distinctive, useful, and engaging?
- Submit a properly designed product feed – Use Google Merchant Center to submit your product feed. This is another method to help your products show up in Google search results.
